I wish I knew what background means when you give the readings. I’m just beginning my search into the realities globally of Fukushima and 3 more reactors soon to melt down. One building already burning and melting away with no water now in the cooling pool. I go to radiationnetwork dot and com to check US levels daily. is 100 CPM the actual danger area for readings or is it far less. 15,000 children on the west coast of the US now dead from radiation poisoning and as many in Canada on its western shores as well and a CPM of 25 to 65 a most readings so 100 CPM which is supposed to be the danger amount cannot possibly be right if its killing children at a mere 25 CPM. Does anyone know the real facts about it. 30,000 dead children on our west coast does not lie.

Also, I’ve passed the word to FAA flight check pilots and an American Airlines flight attendant.
I know for a fact they are completely unaware.

As for one of my friends on FB … go ahead, eat that fresh caught Alaskan salmon. Pass it along to friends and family.

* For those of us who only tune in occasionally to EnviroReporter, it would be helpful if you included a link to the various methods you use to make your measurements.

As to the rain reading, I’m guessing that’s a paper towel in the plastic bag, and that’s an alpha window that’s open, but I don’t know if you wiped a surface, just let rain soak into it, or if you blot dried the paper towel (which seems to make a big difference). If you wiped a surface, how much area –and had it previously been cleaned?

Such details are devilish. I try to do my measurements in as limited, simple, and consistent a way as possible.
